1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using PayCheck Budget ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

PayCheck Budget is a personal budgeting application designed to help users manage their finances, particularly those paid on semi-monthly, bi-weekly, weekly, or irregular pay schedules. The App provides tools for tracking income, expenses, bills, savings goals, and general financial education resources.

3. Subscription and Payment Terms

3.1 Free Trial

New users may be eligible for a free trial period of 30 days. During the free trial, you have access to all features of the App. You will not be charged during the free trial period.

3.2 Subscription Plans

After the free trial ends, continued use of the App requires a paid subscription:

• Monthly Plan: $3.99 USD per month
• Annual Plan: $29.99 USD per year

Prices may vary by region and are subject to change. Current pricing is always displayed in the App before purchase.

3.3 Billing

• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account
• Payment is charged upon confirmation of purchase (after free trial ends)
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period

3.4 Family Sharing

Subscriptions may be shared with up to 6 family members through Apple Family Sharing at no additional cost.

3.5 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Account Data

You are responsible for:

• The accuracy of financial information you enter into the App
• Maintaining the security of your device and iCloud account
• Any activity that occurs under your account

4.2 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Share your subscription access outside of Apple Family Sharing

5. Data and Privacy

5.1 Data Storage

Your financial data is stored locally on your device and synced via your private iCloud account. We do not have access to your personal financial information.

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

6.2 No Professional Advice

The developer of PayCheck Budget is not a licensed financial advisor, accountant, tax professional, or attorney. The App and its educational content are created to help users learn about general financial concepts and budgeting strategies.

You should:

• Consult with a certified public accountant (CPA) for tax advice
• Consult with an attorney for legal matters
• Verify all calculations and suggestions independently
• Consider your personal financial situation before acting on any information

6.3 No Guarantee of Results

Following the educational content, tips, or suggestions in the App does not guarantee any particular financial outcome. Individual results will vary based on personal circumstances, market conditions, and many other factors beyond our control.

6.4 Accuracy of Information

While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, we make no representations or warranties about the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of any educational content, calculations, projections, or suggestions in the App. Financial rules, tax laws, and best practices change over time, and information may become outdated.

6.5 Your Responsibility

You acknowledge and agree that:

• You are solely responsible for your own financial decisions
• You will not rely solely on the App for important financial decisions
• You will seek professional advice when appropriate
• Any actions you take based on information in the App are at your own risk

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Ownership

PayCheck Budget, including all related content, features, functionality, and educational materials, is owned by Nathan Haring and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

8. Disclaimers

8.1 "As Is" Basis

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8.2 No Guarantee

We do not guarantee that:

• The App will meet your specific requirements
• The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• Any errors in the App will be corrected
• Any financial outcomes will result from using the App

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nathan Haring and PayCheck Budget shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
• Financial losses resulting from use of the App or reliance on its educational content
• Errors in calculations, projections, or suggestions
• Decisions made based on educational content in the App
• Service interruptions

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nathan Haring and PayCheck Budget from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your reliance on educational content within the App
• Financial decisions you make based on information in the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted to our website or within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes via the App or email.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe:

• Violates these Terms
• Is harmful to other users or the App
• Is fraudulent or illegal

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation. If informal resolution is unsuccessful, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Nathan Haring regarding your use of PayCheck Budget.
